"Evening Pond"   Oil - 11 x 14   This painting was such a delight. The magic moments of light did not last long each day, and so it took a dozen sessions or more. The lily pads would migrate and change and it was a terrific time chasing their forms around and piecing them together. Our 3-year old Sofia joined me for a few of the sessions, which only added to the fun. This is a study for some figurative paintings, and for now it is a nice memento of summer to help warm my studio during the winter.
